Randi Zuckerberg, former Head of Marketing at Facebook and current Founder & CEO of Zuckerberg Media, will provide a look at “A Day in the Life of the Modern Consumer” at RECon on Tuesday, May 21 at 2:30 pm. As one of the early employees at Facebook, Randi created and ran the social media pioneer’s marketing program. She led the company’s U.S. election and international politics strategy and created Facebook’s live-streaming capability through media partnerships during the 2008 Presidential Inauguration.
Since starting Zuckerberg Media, she has hosted social productions and led the development of projects for BeachMint, the Clinton Global Initiative, Cirque du Soleil, The Tony Blair Faith Foundation and the UN Foundation. Randi has appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, Today Show, Bloomberg News, and ABC’s World News. She was a correspondent for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards and for the World Economic Forum in Davos. She regularly speaks about the future of social media at conferences worldwide.
Randi will address the impact of new or emerging social platforms (e.g. Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter) and how they can influence consumer behavior. She will also address some new and exciting business development ideas such as gamification, crowd sourcing and the change in video and live streaming. If you can’t make Randi’s presentation, you can still catch her the same day at the new #iTechLounge in the Marketplace Mall from 3:30-4:30 pm for a more informal conversation. Who knows? You may just expand your social network!
